I came across an exciting new on-line gallery, at Saatchi. From what I can gather, it appears to be a free, easy way to exhbit work on-line. Though there are other sites that do this, there are so many naff ones. Though the content is variable, this one seems to have at least some interesting and ciritcal work from emerging artists- which means a great context to show work in and also a useful interesting research tool (helpful towards the aul ' original contribution to knowledge').The Saatchi name may arouse inerest also, though it may put off as many as it attracts!
One of the artists that I found interesting was Stephanie Simek. Her exploration of temporaily in relation to video and the photograph, has many resonances to Mulvey's discussion of Barthes in Death 24xsecond.
